WRMK Lawyers has been named as one of NZ’s most innovative law firms, earning a spot on NZ Lawyer’s 2020 Innovative Firms list.

NZ Innovative Firms 2020

17 New Zealand firms were recognised for embracing change and driving the legal profession forward, with only one Northland firm making the cut.

Areas of innovation covered by this year’s winners include new products, services and delivery, staff diversity and inclusion, business models and workplace culture, processes, pricing, marketing, client experience, staff training and development, and automation.

WRMK has a history of innovation, being one for the first law firms in New Zealand to transition to a digital office back in 2012.

Managing Director Wayne McKean says, “Innovating and adapting are key to organisations surviving and thriving, especially in our current uncertain environment. We are delighted to have our efforts recognised.”

Our culture of innovation has allowed us to move quickly to ensure we are meeting our clients’ needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Our people have worked from home throughout the lock down, accessing client files through our digital office and secure network, conducting virtual client meetings and document signings through audio-visual links, as well as attending to court matters,” says McKean.

WRMK Lawyers’ Whangarei office was established in the 1930s, with further offices opened in Dargaville in 2008, Kerikeri in 2016 and Warkworth in March 2019. The firm is also known as Webb Ross McNab Kilpatrick Ltd.

The firm was also recognised last year when it won the Regional/Suburban Law Firm of the Year and Employer of Choice (<50 Lawyers) Awards at the NZ Law Awards.
