WRMK LAWYERS IS PROUD TO SUPPORT THE NORTHLAND CANCER SOCIETY
WRMK Lawyers was hard to miss on Friday 28 August, leading the charge to raise funds for the Northland Cancer Society by “colouring up for cancer”.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Daffodil Day, over 35 Directors, Lawyers and Support Staff coloured their hair bright and beautiful for the day, raising over $5,065 for the cause.
The firm also spread its spray can a little further, with local radio personality ‘Flash’ from More FM Northland accepting the challenge to have her hair coloured bright and beautiful live on air on Friday morning. Mike Pero Whangarei also joined in to colour up and be part of the collection effort on Cameron Street.
“Lawyers have a reputation for being conservative, so we wanted to do something a bit fun on Daffodil Day and really do our best to raise funds for the Northland Cancer Society,” said WRMK Marketing & Communications Manager Melanie Pook.
“This is a cause that is truly close to our hearts. Our firm has been really affected by cancer – we have people in our team currently undergoing treatment, staff with close whanau fighting for their lives, or sadly, whanau who have lost their lives to this disease. The Northland Cancer Society does great work helping families who are fighting against cancer, so we wanted to show our support and help make a difference.”
A huge thank you to our clients, staff and members of the community who all contributed to this great cause! If you ran out of time to make a donation, it’s not too late! You can DONATE HERE.
